Main purpose of position
The promotions coordinator job includes a diverse variety of program planning and organizational tasks. Focused on advertising, a business promotion that uses special events and other promotional platforms to build interest in a product or business
Promotions coordination
Ensure new applicants are trained, supply FICA documents and sign the contract of employment
Ensure new promoters are issued with an RI gift card and sign for collection thereof
Making and confirming bookings for the campaigns, including booking stores and promoters/supervisors
Providing promoters/supervisors with timesheets, feedback forms and a brief for their campaign activation
Providing management with a store call sheet of all store manager, promoter and supervisor details on any running campaigns
Ensuring that promoters check in with a photo 15 minutes before the activation starts
Calling stores where relevant to ensure the activation is running well
Following up on the feedback forms and timesheets from the promoters who had worked the previous week
Scheduling meetings for the promoters every Wednesday when necessary
Interviewing the Promoters every Thursdays when necessary
Screening the whole day on Thursday, when necessary
Confirming promoters for weekly events and ensuring that everything is in order
Liaise with account managers with the campaigns that are running for the weekend, on Thursdays
Ensure that they have the right people booked for the campaign
Administration
Loading the promoters onto the data-base
Put together a WhatsApp group for each campaign
Compile files for the successful promoters
Double check if we have all the correct documents that are in place, before the activation starts
Data capturing
Ensure that data base is updated by communicating with the promotions and events manager

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Diploma preferred or equivalent job-related experience.
Significant experience in event marketing, demonstrations, sales, or retail is highly desirable.
Valid drivers licence and own a reliable car;
Ability to stand comfortably for up to 8 hours a day.
Availability to work over a weekend and public holidays in the event that an activation is running
Minimal travel required for training or other scheduled events.
Proficient in excel work and power point
Conduct demonstration within period of time designated for the event
Promotions Specialists share information about the products and encourage sales.
Make a significant impact on sales and improve the customers' buying experience.
Assist customers based on their individual usage needs and interests.
Complete call reports, paperwork, and on-going personal training in a timely manner, meeting all deadlines.
Great communication skills e.g., ability to connect with customers and sell products.
The Promotions Specialist is responsible for reading all program materials, set up and breakdown of their working area, preparing, and sampling products on scheduled event days
Ability to build strong relationships with store managers and store customers.
Friendly, outgoing personality; confidence and enthusiasm to engage retail shoppers. Must be confident, and articulate to speak effectively and informatively with consumers.
The Promotions Specialists must be knowledgeable, and represent our client professionally.
The Promotions Specialist must generate excitement, brand awareness, and increases product sales through event sampling and promotions.
