Location:
South Africa (anywhere)

Experience Required:

  • 5-7 years in communications/PR in Southern Africa
  • Proven experience with Development Organizations
  • Existing media relationships across Southern Africa (SADC region)
  • Trilingual: English, Portuguese or preferably one SADC language
    is a plus
  • Experience managing multi-country campaigns

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as on-ground liaison for 8 Southern African countries
  • Maintain media relationships with key journalists/outlets
  • Coordinate local events and activations
  • Provide cultural/linguistic adaptation of content (especially Portuguese translations)
  • Monitor regional news agenda and opportunities
  • Scout and manage local vendors (photographers, venues, etc.)
  • Ensure SLA compliance for Southern Africa deliverables
  • Respond to time-sensitive requests during Southern African business hours
