Well established company is seeking a Civils Project Manager with minimum 15 years of experience in road construction.
A formal qualification (diploma or degree) in civil engineering and registration with either ECSA or SACPCMP will be advantageous.
**Minimum Requirements**:
**Experience**: Min. 15 years in road construction
Valid driver's license
Strong management, supervision, and planning skills
Ability to travel throughout the Eastern Cape
Process orientated
Knowledge of construction machinery
Computer literacy
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Able to work independently under pressure and make informed decisions
Must pass medical fitness screening to work on a construction site
**Key Responsibilities**:
Ensure all civil work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets, and procedures as per the company standard.
Demonstrate and exhibit a very high level of technical competence in the civil engineering field, as well as technical co-ordination, planning, estimating and technical leadership.
Technical direction, advice, and control of the civil work on projects.
Do regular customer / site visits where applicable to the field of work.
Regularly interface with departmental staff, upper management, and junior staff.
Promote harmony, teamwork, and sharing of information.
Report accurate data of activities undertaken according to reporting timelines.
Assess the project activities, site data, and external developments within the field to improve outputs on an ongoing basis.
Leading and developing site management and staff to be effective.
