Maintain the general ledger, including preparing journal entries, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly,
- Assist outside auditors at year-end, including preparation of schedules, providing supporting documentation and explaining procedures.
- Prepare monthly financial accounts, including preparation of monthly income statement and balance sheet, reporting on changes in financial position/budget variances.
- Prepare monthly expenditure schedules as required by the Financial Manager.
- Assisting with yearly budgets and PFs
- Ensure statutory compliance throughout the department in respect of normal tax, VAT etc.
- Company owned store accounting transactions and internal controls i.e. cash ups, POS reports etc
- Balance month end GL clearing accounts i.e. other payables, other receivables etc
- Recording and safe keeping of documentation.
- Perform ad hoc projects for specific companies.
- Follow up on open POs and overdue AP statements.
- Maintaining and updating of IFRS 16 schedules for company owned stores.
- Collate Daily Cash Flow figures

Bookkeeping certificate/diploma

At least 3 years’ experience of bookkeeping to balance sheet

SAGE X3 proficiency essential

Computer Literacy on Accpac Windows (an advantage) and Excel

Financial Numeracy

Self-motivated

Ability to meet deadlines

Team player
