1. Production Management_
- _Plan, coordinate, and monitor the day-to-day garment production schedule to meet targets and delivery timelines._
- _Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of fabrics, trims, and accessories._
- _Monitor workflow and optimize production lines for efficiency and output._
- _Costing of samples and quoting/ cost new business._
- 2. Quality & Efficiency_
- _Oversee quality control processes across cutting, sewing, finishing, and packaging._
- _Conduct routine inspections to ensure products meet required specifications._
- _Identify and implement improvements to reduce rework, waste, and downtime._
- 3. Staff Leadership_
- _Supervise production team leads, line supervisors, and machine operators._
- _Conduct training, coaching, and performance evaluations._
- _Foster a safe, respectful, and motivated working environment._
- 4. Health & Safety Compliance_
- _Enforce compliance with all relevant workplace safety and labor regulations._
- _Lead safety audits and coordinate corrective actions._
- 5. Equipment & Facility Maintenance_
- _Ensure machinery is well-maintained and coordinate scheduled maintenance._
- _Report and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to avoid production delays._
- 6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement_
- _Track and report on key production metrics (output, efficiency, downtime, wastage)._
- _Present performance reports to senior management._
- _Lead initiatives for process improvement and cost reduction._
- **RequirementsQualifications**_
- _Matric certificate (Grade 12) required._
- _Relevant tertiary qualification in Production Management._
- **Experience**_
- _Minimum 3 years’ experience in clothing production management._
- _Strong knowledge of sewing, cutting, finishing, and garment quality standards._
- _Proven track record in managing production teams in a factory setting._
