The Lodge Manager oversees, coordinates and direct the service, operations, logistics and activities of the Lodge, befitting Silvan Safari. The Lodge Manager takes responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the Lodge as their primary operational responsibility.
The Lodge Manager responds to the requests that are presented by the Guests, Department Managers, and the Market (where involving services provided by the Lodge).
The Lodge Manager supports the Operations Management in implementing the organisation plans for the Lodge operations.
This role works closely with the relevant Department Teams to ensure a coordinated effort between the different teams and to ensure service and product is delivered in excellence, that facilities and equipment are in perfect condition and working order. The role also ensures that guests receive exceptional levels of personalised service.
- Implement and monitor policies, processes and standards to ensure effective high-quality Lodge service is provided to guests
- Implement and monitor processes that facilitate immediate response to Service requests received from guests
- Provide direction, oversight and guidance to the Lodge team
- Implement and monitor the annual plan and activities for the Lodge
- Implement and monitor with senior Food and Beverage leaders, Lodge & department par-stock levels for utensils, chinaware, glassware, flatware, hollowware, cutlery, table linen and other items required for the operation of Food and Beverage Restaurant department
- Implement and monitor with Lodge Management, department par-stock levels for chemicals, amenities, linen and other items required for the operation of Housekeeping department
- Support the purchasing function in selecting suitable suppliers for Lodge materials
- Implement and monitor implementation of an effective keys control system for areas relevant to the Lodge, ensuring safety and security of guests, fellow employees, residents, equipment and supplies
