Group Executive

**Job Desciption**:
As the Group Executive for Strategic Acquisitions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Novus Holdings’ growth trajectory through targeted acquisitions. You will lead the strategic planning, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of acquisitions aligned with the company’s long-term vision. Your responsibilities will span across Novus Holdings’ diverse portfolio, including Maskew Miller Learning (Pty) Ltd, Novus Print (Pty) Ltd, and ITB.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
**1. Acquisition Strategy Development**:
- Collaborate with the executive team to define acquisition objectives, target markets, and growth areas.
- Identify potential acquisition targets that align with Novus Holdings’ business model and strategic goals.
- Conduct thorough market research and due diligence to assess opportunities and risks.
**2. Origination and Evaluation**:
- Proactively source and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities.
- Analyse financial data, market trends, and competitive landscapes to assess feasibility.
- Develop financial models and valuation methodologies to guide investment decisions.
**3. Negotiation and Execution**:
- Lead negotiations with target companies, ensuring favourable terms and alignment with Novus Holdings’ interests.
- Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to execute acquisition agreements.
**4. Project management and support**:
- Oversee integration planning and post-acquisition activities.
**5. Operational Responsibilities**:
- Management of one or more of the acquisitions that has been concluded in either a GM or CEO of a group company capacity
- As determined by the group CEO.
**6. Stakeholder Management**:
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and senior leadership, to gain buy-in for acquisition strategies.
- Foster relationships with external partners, industry experts, and potential sellers.
**7. Risk Management**:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with acquisitions.
**Educational Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

organisations competitive position.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and resolving discrepancies.
