Entrepreneurship Programme Officer

**Purpose of Role**:
To support the Allan Gray Makers Launchpad which aims Improving the foundational entrepreneurial skills and mindset of those studying or in technical trades.
To support the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge (AGEC) in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges and align and integrate it to the Allan Gray Makers programme and outcomes in collaboration with the Foundation’s AGEC team.
**Objectives of Role**:
**Makers Launchpad**
- Scoping of additional stakeholders and other institutional partners for the programme and programme elements
- Setting up frameworks to onboard training partners and performing due diligence.
- Securing TVET college partners and student cohorts and cohort planning.
- Support the development and refinement of Makers Launchpad programme elements and initiatives
- Scoping and planning for future entrepreneurial initiatives at colleges
- Input into overall Makers Launchpad strategy and how best to scale including assessing how we could adopt various approaches including using a ‘train the trainer’ approach and designing a roll out plan for scale in collaboration with the Programme Manager.
- Support the designing and developing the Makers Launchpad Community element
- Plan Intercollege competition
- Test and Set-up platform
- Conduct pitch competitions at various colleges
- Manage Internal and Regional Rounds
Implementation of:
- The Makers Launchpad Community
- Programme to support TVET Lecturers
- Community of practice for TVET Lecturer’s
- Intercollege competition activities including.
- Entrepreneurial education programme
- Recruitment and selection strategy for facilitators
- Competition plan
**AGEC Game Support**
With support and guidance from the Foundation’s AGEC team and the Entrepreneurship & Community specialist, ensures seamless execution and roll out of the AGEC in TVET colleges for both the tertiary and high school game ensuring growth in reach and engagement according to predefined targets (including setting of these targets in agreement with the Allan Gray Makers Senior Manager)
Ensure alignment and integration of the game with the other elements of the Makers Academy including content, roll out timelines and roll out partners
Work closely with Foundation’s AGEC team and AG Makers entrepreneurship and community Specialist to develop the AGEC game for the Tertiary TVET sector and the High School game ensuring contextual relevance and impact for this target audience by use of a constant cycle of testing, learning, developing
Continually improves game content, driving greater engagement, and aligning content to better develop measurable areas of entrepreneurial mindset
Benchmark AGEC against local and international entrepreneurship education programmes and instil culture of constant learning and improvement
Continually support the Foundation’s AGEC team to develop the technology behind game delivery, driving deeper engagement, and working toward ensuring wider access for all TVET students.
Convert top performers to Makers Hub applicants
Make the best use of Endowment and Foundation support structures and involve existing talent whenever possible
**Stakeholder Relationship Management**
Support and the building and maintaining major stakeholder relationships of interest to the Makers Launchpad and AGEC within the TVET training and entrepreneurship sector, manage varying expectations and communicate effectively with all relevant institutional and individuals:
Communicate programme effectively to all stakeholders including wider public and media
Support the development of strong relationships and continually adds to and develops a database of TVETs and lecturer champions necessary to drive engagement for the AGEC game and Launchpad.
Support in stablishing a network of partners and champions across the country to drive uptake and engagement
Build strong internal relationships with the Allan Gray Makers teams
Support the facilitation of practical opportunities for Participants to involve themselves in the game, alumni network and Allan Gray Makers programme as volunteers
Facilitate and ensure that strategic partnerships align with Allan Gray Makers practices and protocols
**Analysis & Reporting**
Support the development of programme progress reports & the analysing of information and data and compiling reports to the Launchpad Manager on implementation, performance, and impact of Makers Launchpad and AGEC.
**Annual Budgets/Financial Management**
Provide inputs to Launchpad Manager on budgets for various programme elements.
**Adhoc**
Supporting the Senior Manager and Makers Academy Manager with their tasks and activities where required
Support and / or set up new Allan Gray Makers projects such as innovation in TVETs or other projects as and when they arise and are deemed necessary. Support facilitation and coaching where possible
