Manager: Area Sales

**Purpose of the job**:
To drive sales and achieve revenue targets for the company's products in the Limpopo and Lowveld regions, while managing a team of sales representatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets in Limpopo and Lowveld
- Manage the sales team and ensure that they achieve their targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, key accounts, and distributors in the region.
- Conduct market research and gather insights on customer needs, trends, and competitor activities to inform business decisions.
- Identify new sales opportunities and develop plans to penetrate new markets.
- Monitor and analyse sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, finance, and supply chain to ensure alignment on business objectives and priorities. Manage expenses within the budget and report on the financial performance of the region.
**Qualification Requirements**:
- A bachelor's degree in Sales.
**Experience Requirements**:
- At least 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Experience in managing sales teams and driving team performance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of the Limpopo and Lowveld regions, and experience working with retailers and wholesalers in these regions will be an advantage.
- Ability to analyse data and draw insights to inform business decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and sales management software
**Key Outputs**:
- Willingness to travel frequently from Gauteng to Limpopo and Lowveld areas.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
- Flexibility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
