Our client is seeking a Geologist who will assist with sampling with testing and the feasibility study.

**Responsibilities**:
Plan geology projects and field sampling events.
Survey sites and create logs (e.g., borehole) and maps using GIS.
Gather and analyze geological data.
Coordinate research programs.
Examine the composition of samples and specimens.
Measure and test fossils, rocks, soil, ores and other material with the proper instruments (e.g., X-rays).
Write reports on findings, complete the due diligence on existing data.
Conduct quality control on the suitability of material (e.g., metals for construction purposes) and inspect projects.
Study sites for developments, formations, hazards, and composition.
Investigate and evaluate natural resource deposits
Consult on various geology-related issues like waste management, resource management, gas extraction techniques and more.
Ensure environmental and other regulations are met in construction and production projects

**Requirements**: Qualification and Skill

8 years proven experience as a Geologist, across Africa
Demonstrated experience in independently managing resource estimation projects and delivering accurate and compliant reports.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in resource estimation, geostatistics, or relevant disciplines are preferred.
SACNASP registration preferred
Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Surpac, Leapfrog, Vulcan) and resource estimation software (e.g., Isatis, Datamine, Gemcom). Strong data analysis and interpretation skills. Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., CIM Standards, JORC Code) and reporting guidelines (e.g., NI 43-101).
