**Eduvos **is looking to employ the services of a Academic Programme Convener (Faculty of Commerce and Law) to be based at our Eduvos Midrand campus.

**Type of Position**:
Permanent

**The Position**:
The operational management and oversight of day-to-day delivery lecturing within the faculties of Commerce or Law.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Minimum qualification**:

- Relevant Master’s degree in the field of Law

**Experience**:

- At least five years’ experience as a lecturer in the higher education industry
- Either demonstrated management potential or management experience of at least two years
- Publishing in academic journals will be advantageous

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Responsibilities**:
As the Academic Programme Convener, you will be primarily responsible for the following:

- Accountability areas - operating / financial results accountable for:

- Accountable for the operational management and delivery of lecturing related to Law programmes (lecturer performance)
- Accountable for the performance of the community of practice and alignment with development hub
- Operational process outputs:

- The management of academic delivery, resource planning and the management of lecturers
- Management:

- Budgets
- Input into academic budget
- ICA claims processing
- Operational planning e.g., programme implementation planning and training (per mode of delivery) incl. sequence, prerequisites, etc. (academic planner)
- Monitoring, control, corrective action
- Reporting - regular feedback as per Program Manager requirements and Head of Programmes
- Escalations / Decisions / Problem solving
- Resourcing and capacity management (people; equipment)
- Leadership:

- Talent acquisition, selection and onboarding
- Individual performance management - role clarity and objectives; reviews; feedback; corrective actions
- Culture, climate and change
