**PURPOSE OF POSITION**
- The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of his/her teams so that all incoming cargo is dispatched. _

**GENERAL** **REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of 3 years Supervisory / Management Experience
- Computer Literacy
- Excellent working knowledge of the RAM Management System
- Good Knowledge of all the delivery procedures
- Good understanding of the Handheld device & processes
- Fluent in English (Read, Write and Speak)
- Ability to interpret and write reports
- Ability to manage your team’s performance based on the performance data and reports available
- Proficient on Microsoft Office
- Excellent track record of leading and managing ± 50 people
- Customer Centricity - ability to liaise with customers as well as manage the customer experience
- Driver’s license and own transport

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
- Vehicles are dispatched with handheld devices within the target period daily, on time and in accordance with service expectations.
- Manage and oversee the offloading and loading of line hauls
- Manage and oversee the dispatch and collection of air freight
- Ensure couriers comply with the delivery of High Value parcels.
- Oversee all recoveries.
- Daily stock taking done with zero unaccounted stock and 100% stock balance.
- Average consignments per vehicle are according to the targets set for the hub / team.
- Deliveries are done according to the targets set for the hub (Non-Delivery %; First time delivery %; SLA and actions per hour)
- Adequate quality control procedures for POD bag receiving and POD scanning as well as 100% correct documentation brought back by couriers.
- Manage the number of consignments in hub more than 5 business days.
- Collections are completed timeously on days 0 and 1.
- Maintain a customer satisfaction score above 3 over 95%.
- Ensure driver behaviour scores are maintained above 90%.
- Effective People Management practices (on-boarding, performance management, employee engagement, culture, training, communication, time and attendance, and discipline) of all direct reports including ops officers.
- Reporting and analysis. Ability to identify & resolve problems
- Safe keeping of customer stock and adhering to all security related protocols.
- Manage the service experience of receivers
- Fleet of vehicles are cleaned and roadworthy at all times
- Compliance with Health and Safety requirements, Internal Audit and Enacted Laws

- High School (matric) (preferred)
