Operations Manager

DirectAxis is looking for two Operations Managers to join the Personal Segment Suites & Advisory (PSAS) business unit. These roles are key to driving operational excellence, service delivery, and cost efficiency while enabling transformation initiatives that empower customers to achieve financial wellness. As an Operations Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day operations and ensure that processes, systems, and governance frameworks are aligned to support sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer of PSAS, this role offers high‑level strategic exposure and the opportunity to influence how operations enable the next evolution of customer service and support. What You Will Do : Oversee operational functions to ensure alignment with business objectives. Set, manage, and achieve budget and cost‑efficiency goals. Drive service excellence and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Translate strategy into actionable goals supported by performance measures and control systems. Enhance customer experience by implementing systems, processes, and metrics to track service levels and satisfaction. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business units and leadership teams. Ensure compliance with governance, legislative, and audit requirements. Identify and mitigate operational risks at product, process, and channel levels. Continuously improve operational procedures to increase efficiency and scalability. Manage SLAs to ensure consistent and reliable service delivery. Provide accurate and data‑driven business intelligence to inform decision‑making. Lead and develop high‑performing teams, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement. What You Bring : Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7) in Operations Management, Business Management, Financial Management, or a related field. Honours qualification will be advantageous. 4–5 years of experience in operations, preferably within financial services or banking. Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
