**Our Team**:
As the leader of the South African Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the full portfolio; including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher Price, Uno, Scrabble and many more. As Manager Marketing, you’ll drive impactful local strategies and innovative plans to capture market share and fuel sustainable, profitable growth. Beyond shaping the brands’ success, you’ll also have the exciting opportunity to lead, inspire and develop a three-person team; with 2 Brand Managers and 1 Marketing Assistant reporting directly to you.”
**Key responsibilities**:
Local marketing strategy, tactics, and execution:
- Develop expertise of Toy industry, identify opportunities for Mattel brands based on the competitive landscape, retail dynamics and consumer behavior
- Create and execute annual marketing plan to achieve growth ambition and capture opportunities by category
- In collaboration with Sale department, develop customer-specific activation programs, align with 10 key partners, and execute with excellence
- Designing long term marketing strategy to achieve scale-up ambitions
- Ensuring the delivery and execution of the multi-channel marketing campaigns
Portfolio strategy, tactics, and execution:
- Lead line selection based on SWOT analysis and global priorities
- Lead portfolio pricing, establish relevant price architecture, timely adjust pricing based on PPI and CPI
- Plan and flawlessly execute new brands launches according to category analysis
- Provide marketing expertise to commercial team, co-create customer specific product activation plans
- Take an active part in sales pitch preparations and deployment
- Lead demand planning for the market, challenge commercial team to stive for growth
Consumer and shopper engagement:
- Drive full Franchise approach including Content placement and Consumer Products with cross department collaboration
- Lead media strategy and execution for the market based on consumer insights and industry expertise
- Lead PR, internal and external brand communication
- Effectively collaborate with media agency to deliver relevant media plans and execute with excellence
- Act as digital champion, effectively work with media agency to provide comprehensive support to commercial team to set-up e-com fundamentals and full-funnel consumer activation
Other responsibilities:
- Manage marketing budget formation, tracking and reporting
- Working closely with key stakeholders in local and regional teams
- Manage, coach, and develop marketing team; provide expertise to broader commercial team
- Coordinate needs-based marketing research
- Set and report against all marketing KPIs

- 2-3 Years of experience as Marketing Manager, experience in multinational environment
