**Gas Application Technician**

Germiston, Gauteng | req11525

**What you will enjoy doing**
- As a Gas Application Technician, you responsible for installation, testing and commissioning of oxyfuel burners, cryogenic freezers, heat treatment industry and pressure building equipment
- You respond to callouts, breakdowns, repairs and general maintenance on requests
- Ensuring compliance with all Afrox/ SANS and Linde Safety, quality and standards
- Contractor management during installation and maintenance
- You comply with Afrox approved drawings, CES standards, work instructions and relevant codes of practice
- Perform standby duty and travel nationally
- Handling installations over to customer personnel after commissioning

**What makes you great**
- A minimum qualification of Matric or N3 and Millwright / Electrical Trade Test could successfully be achieved by you
- You possess at least 3 years' experience as Electrician or Millwright and Driver's license code 08 or 10
- Good understanding of control panels, drives, PLC and general knowledge of codes, standards and practices
- Knowledge about process system, including instrumentation, HMI's and Temperature controllers
- Good knowledge of medium voltages and low voltages, pneumatic and control valves

Responding to callouts, breakdowns, repairs and general maintenance on request. Maintaning up-to-date records and detailed reports. Ensuring compliance with all SANS, and Health and Safety Act. Contractor management during maintenance and installations. Complete all jobs with parameters allowed for as contained in cost estimates. Perform standby duties, overtime and travel nationally. Handing installations over to customers personally after commissioning.
