Job Title - Cleaner (post level 18) (Job ID: 6114) - Organizational Unit - University of the Free State -> Student Affairs -> Housing and Residence Affairs - Contract Type - Permanent - Occupational Level - Unskilled - Location - South Campus - Bloemfontein, FS ZA (Primary) - Closing Date - 17/4/2025 - Description **How to apply**: - The University of the Free State, George du Toit Building, Human Resources Department, 2nd Floor, Reception: Room S201 OR - A detailed curriculum vitae. - A copy of your identity document (SA ID or passport in the case of foreign nationals). **Duties and responsibilities** - Clean residences and other accommodation categories of the Department: Housing and Residence Affairs. - Clean according to the All-Care Colour-Coding System. - Responsible for issued equipment as provided the University. - Keep equipment clean and in good hygienic condition and report faulty equipment to the Housekeeping Manager. - Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures and ensure protective gear is worn to maintain safety in Department. - Clean during conferences; this includes making up beds and taking off the linen after conferences. - Fulfill any other housekeeping duties as required by HRA: - To attend all staff meetings as indicated by Housekeeping Manager. - Keep rest rooms/storerooms in a neat and hygienic state. - Adhere to working hours as stipulated in job description. - Weekend work might be required over long weekends and during conferences. **Inherent requirements**: - Grade 10 on NQF level 2. - Relevant experience related to the duties and responsibilities. **Recommendations**: - Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a colour code cleaning system. - Colour coding cleaning system certificate. - Competencies **Required competencies**: - **Results orientated**: - The ability to be reliable, responsible, dependable and to fulfil obligations. **- Strategic thinking**: - The ability to focus on details, work towards perfection, and approach work in a neat and organised manner. **- Business acumen**: - The ability to adhere to rules and strictly follow work regulations. - Experience in cleaning with a colour-coding system. **- Leading**: - The ability to be cooperative with others, display good-natured attitude, and encourage people to work together. **- Building coalitions**: - The ability to interact with others and establish personal connections with people. **Assumption of duties**: As soon as possible. **Closing date**: 17 April 2025. **Salary**: The annual remuneration package, including benefits is R113 394.47 per annum. **Fringe benefits**: (Subject to specific conditions): pension scheme, medical aid scheme, group life insurance, housing allowance, leave and sick leave, service bonus and study benefits. **Enquiries**: **General**:
