**People Management**:

- Conduct staff performance appraisals and ensure appropriate action is taken
- Identify training needs; initiate suitable training in conjunction with DTSA standards
- Conduct regular staff meetings with team to improve motivation and communication
- Effectively manage leave, incentive and overtime payments due
- Oversee the training/competency levels of learners/apprentices

**Customer Service**:

- Manage the technical quality of work performed
- Review CSI ratings regularly with the team against targets and develop action plans
- Manage all customer complaints - take action to resolve them
- Monitor all come backs

**Workshop Productivity**:

- Establish & agree to labour sales and profit targets
- Manage labour sales and workshop profitability
- Ensure Effective Workshop Planning
- Monitor Productivity reports

**Administration**:

- Monitor warranty claims - penalties minimized
- Minimize outwork

**Housekeeping, Tools and Maintenance**:

- Maintenance of facilities according to standard
- Control all procedures for special tools -clean and used correctly
- Ensure safety precautions are adhered to
- Repair defective equipment and diagnosis software

**Product and business knowledge**:

- Stay abreast of industry developments e.g. new products, warranty, maintenance
- Ensure that all product, technical training is attended by all relevant staff members per DTSA

**Requirements**:

- Provide feedback to service staff on relevant issues raised at DTSA meetings
- Ensure workshop manual are updated

**Education & experience**:

- Minimum Grade 12
- Trade certificate: Diesel Mechanic
- Computer Literate (preferably Kerridge system experience)
- 3-5 year’s previous experience in the same or similar position
