We are looking for an experienced highly responsible **Receiving Clerk** to receive, inspect and record shipments of raw materials and products. Who will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders.

**Requirements and skills**
- Grade 12 Qualification, a relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage
- Proven experience as receiving clerk - minimum 5 years receiving experience preferably in an engineering & manufacturing environment
- Strong administrative skills
- Experience working on an ERP system
- Basic maths and recording abilities - good with numbers to calculate stock correctly
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- Provide excellent customer service
- Keen eye for detail
- Good physical condition to unload shipments
- Ability to multi-task
- Experience in operating forklifts
- Working knowledge of computer programmes for entering data
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
- Capture data on ERP system
- Unload packages from incoming trucks
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
- Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
- Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
- Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
- Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
- Ensure efficient processes are in place to promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies that arise during the shipping and receiving process.
