Travel Coordinator

To provide a proficient, professional, proactive, and effective travel service to Ngwato Nkosi Holdings (Pty) Ltd and its subsidiary travellers located in the Head Office and Regional offices of the respective organisation.
**Key responsibilities**:
Accountabilities and responsibilities (key performance areas and tasks)
Handle all aspects of international, regional and local travel for travellers.
Book travel arrangements, draft travel itineraries, inform travellers and keep them updated on any changes.
Research and book flights, ground transportation and hotel accommodations.
Keep up to date on trends and travel procedures and destination information.
Issue tickets for air travel, accommodation, and car hire vouchers and all relevant.
Relieve the switchboard as and when required.
documentation (in line with the company’s travel policy and procedures).
Liaison with production coordinators regularly to ensure correct bookings are made and changes are managed seamless.
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Research and book flights, ground transportation and hotel accommodations.
Provide travellers with directions and destination information.
Facilitate Subsistence Allowances.
Enforce company travel and expensing policies.
Need to be 'on-call' beyond normal business hours to address any needs and/or traveller or client may have in transit.
Obtain necessary required travel authorizations prior to issuing travel documentation.
Create and maintain relevant files and databases, stay in constant communication with employees, clients, and venues.
Serve as a general resource and point of contact for travel-related arrangements.
Schedules with supporting documentation.
Filling of travel documentation and maintaining records, traveler profiles.
Liaise with all stakeholders to consolidate Risk assessments.
Other duties as may be reasonably requested
**REQUIREMENTS**:
Diploma in travel and tourism (NQF levels 6)
Accredited travel and tourism Certificate (Added advantage)
A solid 5-8 years of corporate travel consulting experience. In all aspects of travel and related services. Non-Negotiable
Strong working knowledge of the travel industry
Previous training and experience with travel software preferred
Ticketing knowledge
- including re-issue, re-routing, revalidations etc
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or related software
Knowledge of relevant flight regulations and required travel documentation essential
Customer service - understanding and managing expectations from the supply chain manager, executives heads, departments and guests
Must demonstrate the ability to always maintain confidentiality
Sound knowledge of policies and procedures within task assigned
Ability to priorities activities
Reporting writing skills
Strong organisational skills
Basic accountancy experience will be essential
