**Requirements**:

- Relevant B Degree (Commerce, Legal, Engineering,

Project Management or other relevant to operations/directorate
business area
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel
- Computer Literacy - (advance MS Excel, use of SAP)

Key Performance Areas
- Oversee directorate contract management activities and

adherence to the organisation-wide approach to contract
management as set out in the Contract Management
Framework and other relevant City of Cape Town (City) policies
and procedures.
- Provide input into the review of policies, strategies and

processes for the department to ensure compliance with City
policies, regulations and procedures.
- Stakeholder management.
- Improve contract management maturity of the directorate.
- Lead and direct the performing of activities associated with

the provision of mentorship and advice to project and contract
managers, in terms of ensuring Capex & Opex contract
management mentoring and advisory services to Water &
Sanitation project and contract managers.
- Execute administrative tasks and provide professional support

services related to contract management in the department to
ensure effective management of any or all phases of the
contract life cycle.
- Conduct contract reviews.
- Facilitate project gate reviews (commercial and regulatory case).
- Oversee management of transversal contracts.
- Provide high level stakeholder input and interaction.
- Facilitate and track tender demand planning for the directorate

and register all required contract demands aligned with the
Portfolio and Project Pipeline.
- Ensure auditability of all directorate contracts.
