Professional Officer
**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s Degree or

National Diploma) in relevant Engineering field (Mechanical
Engineering/Industrial Engineering)
- 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience in the Fleet / Asset Management

environment focusing on Contract Management / Administration;
Project Management; Root Cause Analysis and Business Process
Re-Engineering
- Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office(Advanced Excel including

Pivot Tables creation & manipulation); Microsoft Visio or CAD lite
for layout drawings;
- SAP experience
- Valid Driver’s Licence (Code B/EB)
- Physically fit & able bodied

Key Performance Areas
- Professional Functions: Provides professional support to

Engineering and Asset Management in respect of providing a
specialist or generalist function with respect to business
improvement, Tender and contracts, data analysis and project
management and administration
- Applies theoretical knowledge and conceptual thinking in a

specific discipline, working under supervision of a senior or
principal professional officer
- Conducting research and investigations, to collect data for

completing minor projects, or to support the work of a more
senior professional.
- Investigate and report on potential Engineering and Asset

Management business improvements related to but not limited
to processes, reporting, vendor management and contract
management
- Communication: Attending to correspondence and enquiries

related to the services, systems and ongoing of the
Department/ Branch
- Administration: Attending to correspondence and enquiries with

regard to the services, systems and ongoing work of the
Department/ Branch
- Safekeeping of research documentation and investigation results
