**_ Position Purpose:_**

The national marketing and communications manager manages and oversees the execution of marketing strategies. The

national marketing manager supports the work of the marketing team on projects and activities aimed at developing

marketing strategies and campaigns with overall goal of maximizing company profit.The national marketing and

communications manager would also be responsible for setting up, implementing, and managing the overall company's

digital marketing strategy.

Leadership and People Management

Manage change management process through the implementation and training of new systems and procedures.

Accountability solid financial performance generated through this department.

Liaise across departments to evolve IT systems and marketing.

Identify relevant upskilling and development programmes and workshops that ensure the continuous career advancement of

personnel in the marketing department.

Work with different marketing departments to generate new ideas and strategies.

Supervise projects to guarantee all content is publication ready.

Develop and improve upon existing marketing strategies.

Assist in the production of key reports, company brochures and related marketing materials and literature.

Strategic Management

Develop new marketing initiatives such as social media, events, or crossover collaborations to strengthen engagement with

target audience.

Possess good working knowledge and experience of all different digital marketing channels.

Possess good working knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices.

Possess excellent organizational and time management skills to charge the department forward.

Marketing Management

Lead the marketing and public relations staff.

Production of high-quality content that engages customers and builds brand recognition.

Oversee all marketing activities, evaluating relevant metrics, and preparing national performance reports.

Research and Market Analysis

Conduct market research to assess current trends and brand awareness and consult research and data management service

providers sufficiently.

Assist to organize and implement market research to produce relevant marketing information.

Monitor market trends, analysis consumer markets activities to identify opportunities.

Fair amount of working knowledge and interpretation of market research data, data analysis and statistics.

The incumbent is expected to be an analytical data driven problem solver to enable future-focused solutions.

Communication Management

Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.

Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness, and

customer satisfaction.

Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Oversee all internal and external communications for a company, ensuring its message is consistent and engaging.

Digital Marketing Strategy and Management

Build, plan and implement the overall digital marketing strategy.

Manage and train the rest of the team.

Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices.

Manage all digital marketing channels.

Measure ROI and KPIs of undertaken projects and report on same periodically to line manager.

Prepare and manage digital marketing budget.

Oversee all the company's social media accounts.

Manage and improve online content, considering Search Engine Optimization and Google Analytics.

Build an inbound marketing plan.

Motivate digital marketing teams to achieve goals.

Monitor competition and provide suggestions for improvement.

Non-GLA Management

Ensure a focused approach to operational dynamics, revenue streams, and growth opportunities within Non-GLA activities.

Provide direction in growth strategies that will provide holistic Non-GLA solutions for Transnet Property Portfolio by extractin
