**Description**- Tasks:
- Good time-keeping is required to be on duty at the expected times.
- Provide customer service to primarily “internal customers” such as staff, but also to suppliers, consultants and other technical resources.
- Technical Support - providing correct information and assisting with queries.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving system errors and where necessary, quickly escalate issues and situations requring immediate and urgent attention.
- Identify SOP (standard operating procedure) enhancements. Redirect these enhancements to the relevant system owners and responsible parties.
- Act as a point of control of all data and information of the relevant services.
- Ensure that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with current legal and company-specific regulations.
- Requirements:
- Support of any and all IT-related work at the main Head-Office, as well as asisist at the other Company branches and in-houses where necessary.
- Be responsible and set a good example by adhering to the company “Computer Usage Policy“, and guide and encourage others to do the same. For those who won’t cooperate, report on-going breaches of company rules such as the downloading of videos and other non-business related Software to management.
- Perform any and all various I.T.related duties as delegated, and report back to management as instructed.**Inherent Requirements**
- To be successful in the above role, the incumbent should have the following key skills and attributes:
- 3 year’s experience in I.T. support.
- Qualifications - CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+
- Remedy ITSM experience will be advantagous
- Good English language communication skills. Speak clearly, good writing skills, be tactful, patient kind and helpful.
- Be responsive, answer quickly, feedback regularly, give callers good attention and perform follow ups all the time.
- ITIL foundation certification is an advantage
- Telephone etiquette training is an advantage
- Approachable, friendly, willingness to work with and assist people, sometimes in a stressful environment.
- Be flexible to demands, go the extra mile and have a high level of co-operation with all requests.
- Be prepared to work overtime or take on the after-hours standby duties if required.
- Stability and reliability, fit in with the company culture and I.T. team.
