- Purpose of Position:

- To partner with business and provide 1st and 2nd level IT support
- Responsibilities/Duties:

- Reactively responding to IT problems encountered by users.
- Educating the users in order to prevent future problems where necessary.
- Actively work with the Help Desk, Server support and Network teams accordingly, to determine and resolve problems received from the users.
- Installation & support of all software relevant to clients’ needs.
- Installation and maintenance of network printers.
- Troubleshooting network problems.
- Setting up wireless and wireless security.
- Configure user’s computers onto domains with relevant security and privileges.
- Setting and maintaining company firewalls
- Checking and installing anti-virus on desktops and servers
- Knowledge of network cabling (network points and patch panels)-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Qualifications/Experience:

- Matric with an MCSE, A+ and N+
- 2-3 years’ experience in a wide range of network and Internet environments including:

- ESSENTIAL: Certified Blackberry Administration (not negotiable)
- Knowledge of Windows Server, exchange server
- Microsoft networking technologies, TCP/IP
- Exchange 2007 certification (MCITP) preferred
- A good knowledge of all windows desktop operating systems (WIN XP, WIN Vista, WIN 7)
- General 1st line support in corporate environment
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Ability to interact effectively with employees, managers and providers at all levels
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
