Incoming Quality Coach

**ROLE SUMMARY** **Supervise Incoming Parts Quality Team Shift A, support production and work with external suppliers and Supplier Technical Assistance to deliver quality parts online side. **POSITION DETAILS** - Coordinate the Q1/ISO 16949 program requirements for Incoming Quality - Support, and encourage quality, cost saving, and other projects as required to provide Quality Control personnel with state-of-the-art equipment to be more efficient and protect the customer. - Attend Plant Control, Electrical concern and Quality Meetings, update Paynter charts. - Provide part dimensional layout as required for production personnel, Product Vehicle Team engineers and Variability Reduction Team members. - Provide Incoming Quality support to contain suspect component concerns. - Support processing of all non-conforming materials with plant Material Planning & Logistics organization. - Support Material Planning & Logistics as a decision maker on liability for scrap cost. - Track supplier corrective actions within the Quality Retort system and verify parts in-plant meet customer requirements. - Work with Variability Reduction Team and Product Vehicle Team members to initiate appropriate containment and corrective action while supplier does the same. - Review supplier G8D's to D6 and accept or reject based on content. - Work with supplier concern feedback from quality gate inspection, finished vehicle quality audits, Government Regulation audits, dealer data, and warranty data. - Communicate delinquent Quality Retort notices to Supplier Technical Assistance / suppliers, and plant management. - Participate in the development and implementation of a Best-In-Class Quality Operation System for the Incoming Quality area. - Manage vehicles on wheel, pending rejects parts and supplier caused campaigns - Support Launch quality concern with supporting data for Automated Issues Matrix System - Book reporting hourly personnel time and attendance into HR system. - Review PFMEA with suppliers for defective parts - Review Control Plans with suppliers for defective parts - Review and analyze dimensional reports from suppliers including Statistical Process Condole and capability data. **PERFORMANCE MEASURES** - Resolution of all system-filed Safety Actions - Near Miss Identification - 2/month - Segregation of Forklifts & Pedestrians in the Incoming Quality quarantine area - No Incoming Quality Caused Vehicle Campaigns - No RED containable items on Plant Painter for supplier concerns with known cause within 24 hours. - No RED containable items for daily Quality report out meeting of from Surveillance gates with known cause within 24 hours. - No Suppliers Concern Reports uncontained within 24 hours with a known cause. - No Parts may age >30 days in the Quarantine area without closure. - Manage Vehicle on wheels proactively ensuring no delay in auctioning vehicles if replacement assembly/parts and labor are available for repairs. - Sanction all Concern Reports before 30 days unless on dispute status. - Attend 90% of Part Scrap meetings as a decision-maker. - Escalate repeated Quality Reports to reduce the number to ave of 12 per year. - Track G8D from the Supplier to ensure at 15 days G8D is received. If not or not complete book review meetings and escalate Supplier Technical Assistance. - Maintain plant calibration systems to be ISO 16949 compliant. - File supplier chargeback within 5 days of all vehicles shipped and all parts contain. **QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE** - National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering - TQM will be an advantage - Experience: - 5 years Quality Control Supervision - 3-year PFMEA experience - 3-year Control plan experience - 3-year SPC experience **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES** - Ability to read and analyze part drawings and study specifications - Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage conflict - Working knowledge of the manufacturing environment relating to (Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery) - Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Outlook). - Faultfinding ability and root cause analysis - Ability to multi-task multiple hi risk concerns at the same time - Ability to work with diverse cultures and people Locally and Globally.
