Our client, a South African-based biotechnology company is looking for a Quality Officer to join their Production Team.

**Position Overview**:
The role of the Quality Officer in the Production Facility is to independently execute the applicable quality control checks/inspections to ensure the compliance of products and or items.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Perform incoming Inspections, sampling and verifications
- Packaging line inspections
- Final Product inspections and release to stores
- Take and maintain retention samples of products
- Conduct Hygiene Monitoring in plant and report out of specifications
- Moisture testing of Freeze-dry products
- Process serum and submit to testing laboratories
- Perform and upkeep monthly stock for quality department and ordering of media from suppliers.
- General administrative duties
- Ensure tasks and practices are compliant and/or appropriate with cGMP processes, practices and documentation requirements as well as the unique quality management system of the company

**Qualifications**:
**Experience**:
QC Laboratory experience advantageous.

**Skills / Attributes / Competencies**:

- Results-orientation
- Sound judgment
- Physical endurance and the ability to stand for long periods of time
- An ability to work well as part of a team or when working alone
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and organise efficiently Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
