**Purpose**

The purpose of the role is to support the planning and implementation of marketing strategies and tactics to support the business objectives of the Endoscopy Franchise within Boston Scientific in South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa (Growth Emerging Markets). Primary focus is providing commercial (marketing, sales) and administrative support for individuals within Endoscopy

**General Responsibilities**
- Performs general administrative duties (including allocation of marketing material, management of Endo storeroom liaison with agencies / suppliers, photocopying, coordinating meetings/appointments, typing, ordering/maintaining supplies, arranging travel for internal & external stakeholders, assistance with all aspects around IRF projects).
- Ensure that external marketing communications meet internal customers' needs, legal and regulatory guidelines; Manage the internal approval process for promotional materials.
- Contribute and support the marketing plan of South Africa and Sub-Saharan regions, from strategic planning to tactical execution.
- Prepare reports, analysis and budget trackers.
- Communicate to the Sales Team new material available on Pitcher and monitor promotional material usage and stocks.
- Support the planning and execution of major congresses: Contribute to the development of a high quality and consistent image of Boston Scientific at International and national events, aligned to corporate guidelines.
- Ensure that the monthly reports are completed on education activities and the GEM Endo Tracker.
- Cooperate with customer service team to ensure NFHU Samples obtained from Europe and also manage inventory for workshops, congresses and IAS.
- Quality: Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific; Responsible for facilitating and championing the quality requirements and the messaging of compliance to internal and external customers for all events and campaigns.

**Administrative Responsibilities**
- Serves as a point of contact for customers (internal and external).
- Answers questions related to established policies and procedures. Directs people to the appropriate resources.
- Makes decisions within established guidelines regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling of work.
- Manages work in a confidential manner, ensuring information is shared with internal and external individuals in an appropriate manner.
- Achievement of Boston Scientific Quality goals and do the mandatory e-learning courses. Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures.

**Marketing Responsibilities**
- Work closely with BUM & Marketing Manager to identify new opportunities for the franchise.
- Contribute to the development of marketing plans & effective implementation of marketing plans.
- Assist in tracking of brand/market performance of franchise products, customer needs, competitor activities, issues, and action plans through available data sets (Quantium, Objectivity etc).
- Support development of key marketing communications around own portfolio through active & regular insights gathering.
- Assist in coordinating symposia, congresses, meetings and participates in main customer events.
- Assist in tracking Marketing Spend, ensuring that all IRF invoices are sent to finance and reconciled with all supporting documents.
- Manages Proctorship and Consultancy Agreements & gathering of documentation (CVs etc) ensuring annual updates & IRF submission.
- Support with the planning and execution of multichannel activities (digital, internal updates, newsletters, key messages) to support the franchises in cooperation with the Marketing Communications team.

**Overall Responsibilities**
- Understanding of overall Endoscopy business, business trends and strategy, to assist the team in identifying opportunities and assessing risks.
