**Introduction**
**Role Purpose**
Lead and assume operational responsibility for a number of teams within the Commercial Sales department. Deliver on the sales strategy and drive key business outcomes.
**Requirements**:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (Essential)
- B Degree in Commerce or Business Management (Desirable)
- Relevant legislative/regulatory exams or qualifications (Essential)
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in sales and distribution (Essential)
- 2-3 years' people management experience (Essential)
- Leads management experience (Essential)
- Business process optimisation experience (Desirable)
- Call centre or client service experience in the financial industry (Essential)
- Experience of managing inbound sales operations (Essential)
**Duties & Responsibilities**
**Internal Process**
- Lead and assume operational responsibility for a number of teams within the sales
- Lead teams to meet and exceed business objectives, ensuring the consistent achievement of all financial and operational KPI's across the site
- Keep abreast with trends, legislation and best practices within the telesales industry in order to contribute to optimising the function
- Conduct industry benchmarking in order to inform quality standards and initiatives within the sales environment
- Develop and oversee the implementation quality assurance assessments, reporting processes and policies in line with business, compliance and client requirements
- Establish metrics to monitor and report on the effectiveness of business processes and practices in area of responsibility
- Enhance system capability and usability to drive sales effectiveness and productivity
- Day to day running of department (Setting targets, monitoring quality of work, managing shifts; Department staffing; Recruitment and Selection)
- Constantly seek ways to improve the inbound/outbound sales department and up lift sales staff
- Co-ordination of direct marketing campaigns in conjunction with Marketing Department
- Execution of business plan
- Development of team leaders
**Client**
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed
- Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility
- Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service
**People**
