**Contract Type: 1 Year Fixed**

Disa Primary School is a no-fee public primary school serving the Bonteheuwel community that has recently partnered with Common Good in the Collaboration Schools Network. This is a fresh and innovative partnership model aiming to create outstanding schools that give every learner, regardless of their background, the opportunity to receive an excellent education.

**The SGB seeks an inspirational Intermediate Phase Educator with enthusiasm & tenacity who will**:

- Deliver relevant phase curriculum.

- Demonstrate resilience in the face of a challenging and tough environment.
- Use effective behaviour management, communication, and planning skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to driving up standards of learner achievement.
- Continually improve teaching and learning with an openness to growth and feedback including in-class support and development.
- Show a willingness to be coached and implement action steps.
- Use data to inform the effectiveness of teaching strategies and whether learning is taking place.
- Use Blended learning in the classroom to appeal to the 21st Century Learner.

The new Educator will benefit from the support of the Common Good Education central team and the Collaboration Schools network.

- **Requirements**:_
- Possess a recognised 3 to 4-year Intermediate phase teaching qualification.
- Be CAPS trained.
- Registered with SACE
- Be prepared to participate in the extra-mural activities and the teacher development programme offered by the school.
- **Ability to teach in English and Afrikaans
- (Home Language - English / First Additional Language - Afrikaans / Mathematics) - Must be clearly stated in your CV.**:

- Intermediate level competency using Microsoft Applications (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Obtain a police clearance.
