**Marketing and Product Manager**

**R85000 to R90000**

**Position Objectives**

The purpose of this role is to produce incremental, profitable and sustained sales and category growth according to the country’s strategic and operating plans.

**Specific Accountabilities**
- Develop annual category plans as well as marketing channel plan to support business initiatives
- Setting annual category, campaign and newness targets
- Develop category & pricing strategies across fragrance, skincare, cosmetics, hair, fashion and personal care
- Market & competitive review
- Forecast improvement & inventory management and manage excess
- Lead development of sales presentations at key events and conferences
- SOL management
- Monitor performance of categories (margin, units) and develop plans accordingly
- Budget management (marketing spend and margin & sales)
- Develop, lead and implement all marketing processes
- Work closely with planners to develop monthly campaigns
- Lead all new product development and collaborate with key stakeholders
- Lead & develop team
- Do product training and education to the sales force and via online videos
- Launch new products and categories’ to market successfully and on time
- Strong leadership and proven management track record
- Forward planning with strict adherence to timelines

**Education & Experience**
- Matric
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/IMM/ relevant tertiary qualification
- 5 years in senior marketing management in a similar role in the cosmetics industry or direct selling is essential. Experience in category management and marketing is essential
- Proven track record of delivering creative marketing campaigns and product innovation related solutions and implementing successful business strategies to ensure product marketing performance
- Proven track record in managing young teams and leading people successfully is essential
- Able to persuade clients and colleagues as to the best marketing strategies to use
- Strong strategic and numerical acumen
- Drive for innovation and being creative
- Able to take the lead in developing new ideas for products and services

**Key Competencies**

- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and another African language essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of Direct Selling Fundamentals ideal

**Salary**: R85,000.00 - R90,000.00 per month
