We're looking for an experienced social media assistant to work with one of South Africa's top decor bloggers. Do you have a passion for the decor and design industry, a love of exploring new homes across the world, a flair for fashion, art, food, books, crafts, and a desire to document them in an authentic, personable tone? Are you comfortable working the back-end of WordPress and have a good eye when it comes to design?
**Duties**:
You will be writing original copy on various international and South African brands.
You will manage all the social media channels in an appropriate and interactive avenue.
You will write all copy for social media posts, as well as content articles on various topics in the decor and design industry.
Schedule eight posts a day.
Edit and proof all press releases in an online format.
Source images to accompany all blog posts.
Assist with the design of the website and social media channels.
**Required**:
A proven track record of successes in social media and copywriting.
Experience in working with Facebook, X, Pinterest, Instagram and WordPress.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Two+ years' experience in a copywriting or social media role.
Degree/diploma focused in communications or journalism preferred.
