Regional Operations Controller

This is a pivotal role within the Activations and Events Division, hence the incumbent needs to be highly organised, meticulous and must have exceptional project planning & execution skills. Acting as the operational link between the business units ensuring full understanding of what long campaigns are in the pipeline, needs, requirements, etc.
Prepare the project plans and schedules to ensure exceptional execution. Working closely with internal and/or external stakeholders to build a comprehensive talent pool that can be drawn upon. They will have the opportunity to work in a cross-functional capacity with other departments to resolve issues quickly and effectively, while also promoting a culture of continuously improving client services through execution. It is imperative that this person be proactive in the management of the function.
This person will be responsible for, but not limited to manage promotional and in-/out store activities (from start to finish). He/she must be flexible and able to execute all objectives against the client requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, maintain, analyse, document and support standardised and/or customized reports (internal and external) when required and at the required standard.Ensure compliance across all disciplines, client KPI’s/SLA’s and internal departmental policies and procedures, follow the escalation matrix where any business risks are identified.Ensure that expenses do not exceed the forecasted amounts to ensure that profits are maximized.Health and safety compliance in all aspects.Solely responsible for the success/failure of any allocated project.Compilation of relevant schedules and/or project plans.Manage and oversee the achievement of all operational project objectives and deadlines.Delivery of the end-result, in line with specific outcomes required.Build and maintain a talent pool of promoters and keep all relevant information up to date.Recruit, manage and replace promoters for the duration of allocated campaigns.Exercise a good judgement by making sound and well-informed decisions that are in the best interest of the business and/or client.
This position requires the successful individual to have a roadworthy vehicle in their own name that they can use for business travel. It is advised that this person must take out business insurance with a 30-day car hire option.The individual that holds this position might be required to travel and/or work in both the informal and/or formal areas and might be required to flight and sleep out in different regions from time to time.
