Education and Skills:
- An interest in the area of HR, and a desire to develop key skills, knowledge and experience in a range of HR topics.
- Confident, articulate and clear communication skills (verbal and written) with strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Interpersonal skills: such as telephone skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
- Ability to handle challenging conversations in a harmonious manner.
- Ability to work in a team and independently to a high standard and ensure deadlines are met under pressure.
- Proficient organisation, project management and time management skills; ability to multi-task managing multiple projects/demands at times.
- A customer service mentality, and the ability to respond promptly and proactively to queries, providing a high standard of support to the business.
- Must be fully aware of the sensitivity and confidentiality of the function and act with discretion.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience of providing front-line advice regarding a range of key HR topics.
- A working knowledge of the core HR policies, and a strong understanding of the processes that support these.

- Valid driver’s license, own transport, and willingness to travel
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ HR experience
- Leadership abilities
- Solid analytical and decision-making skills

Key Performance Areas
HR
- Daily check of the HR mailbox
- Responding to all queries / requests
- Provide trusted and commercially focused first-line advice to managers on the full range of HR-related topics, such as sickness absence, performance management, and other HR policies and procedures.
- Manage a range of key HR processes, including the onboarding process, enabling a smooth transition of new starters into the business, and completing the relevant pre
- Produce a regular portfolio of HR metrics reports, as well as ad hoc reports, to support management in HR planning and enabling the proactive and effective support of the wider business.
- Suggest improvements and updates to HR policies and procedures in line with legislative changes, ensuring supporting documents are user friendly and enabling a best practice HR service.
- Processing all employee changes, including correspondence and updating the HR System.
- Acting as first-line advisory and escalating queries as appropriate, ensuring all queries meet team KPI’s. Being the primary user and expert for the HR System, maintaining records and logging all data changes as necessary.and logging all data changes as necessary.
- Own the keeping of electronic records in line with GDPR and ensuring accurate record keeping for audit purposes.
- Responsible for the development and management of all induction activities and ensure new starters are enrolled onto the necessary training.
- Schedule performance reviews
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of training activities as necessary.
- Responsible for disciplinary process
- Represent the company at the CCMA when required
- Responsible for organising Teambuilding events.
- Liaise with Exec Team regarding expected salary increase percentages
- Advise relevant departments of potential increases and loyalty bonus
Payroll Processing
- Calculate commissions.
- Prepare payroll spreadsheets and once confirmed send it to payroll company.
- Check payroll reports received from payroll company.
- Send payroll information to Head of Finance
- PAYE (UK)
- Pensions NEST (UK)
**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Century City, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
