This is a full-time Housekeeping and Kitchen Supervisor role based in Somerset West. As a housekeeping and kitchen supervisor, you will be be leading a small army of kitchen and housekeeping staff, and overseeing the day to day running of the kitchen, laundry departments and resident suites, including cleaning the equipment, checking supplies and rotating food stock. Part of the day may be spent working on administration, ordering supplies, etc..You will work collaboratively with other stakeholders to maintain the high standards in the front of house, dining areas and resident suites.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Supervising the duties performed in all Livewell suites, public areas and respective departments on a daily basis.
- Ensuring all rooms, public areas, dining rooms and furniture are cleaned and managed effectively. This includes scheduled deep cleaning and infection control.
- Managing cleaning materials and consumables.
- Ensure facility is in good order for events, functions and other important meetings.
- Ensuring there are sufficient staff on duty.
- Conducting and ensuring great teamwork with other departments.
- Attending meetings with Management as required.
- Managing and complying with all laundry procedures and protocols.
- Ensure suites and empty suites are of high standard.
- Close liaison with role players when a new resident moves in or moves out.
- Ensure that protocols are in place to oversee the busy kitchen daily.
- Guiding and supervising the preparation and serving of meals.
- Ensuring dietary requirements are adhered to.
- Providing feedback to multi-disciplinary team when there are menu changes.
- Ensuring compliance certificates are up to date.
- Overseeing and managing the job card system.
- Managing staff reporting to you.
- Be on emergency standby.
- Conduct adhoc after hours visits to the facility.

Qualifications & Experience
- Matric certification
- Hospitality related tertiary qualification
- Management courses and certification would be advantageous
- At least 3 years experience in the hospitality sector as a supervisor or team leader
- Be able to work independently
- Computer literate
