**The Role**
Drive and manage the national after sales and key accounts teams to increase sales by effectively retaining our existing business, extracting maximum cross selling opportunities for growth in the base and positioning Courierit as a new generation logistics services group, that provides intelligent, innovative and customised services to clients in niche industry bands, that demand high specialisation
**Skills and Experience** Minimum Requirements**:
- 10-12 years’** experience in the sales field**:
- **3 - 5 years of which should be at senior management level**

**Key Accountabilities** Manage National Sales Team**:
- Project targets for the new financial year in line with stipulated timelines, through thorough analysis of market trends and competitors
- Manage the national sales division in line with operational and budget requirements, and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
- Ensure that the right customers are on board, in that they fit into the business thereby allowing Courierit to cater for their needs, at no extra cost
- Try to accommodate clients’ needs by liaising with operations
- Induct new customers and ensure business understands their needs
- Take care of existing accounts including Telesales, After sales and Key Accounts
- Personally look after VIP accounts
- Engage in the daily planning for the sales executives, and intervene where necessary
- Track expenses of sales executives to ensure that they are justified
- Translate the regional sales targets into individual targets
- Allocate a project team to prepare the documents needed for tenders or requests for quotations
- Meet with clients regularly to identify and resolve issues
- Monitor performance to ensure achievement thereof on an ongoing basis
- Monitor and ensure the effective running of the national sales portfolio
- Establish and ensure maintenance of sound relationships with key business stakeholders
- Ensure products and services are always accessible to customers
- Ensure optimal service delivery
- Conduct staff meetings regularly to debrief sales executives, discuss operational performance and business issues
**Produce Reports**:
- Submit reports to the Group Sales Director on all matters pertaining to sales on a weekly basis, and as and when required
**Human Resource Management**:
- Set performance objectives for employees
- Ensure that all employees have signed performance agreements
- Conduct quarterly staff appraisals
- Put together action plans to address poor performance
- Identify training needs of all employees
- Ensure ongoing training and development of all employees
**Manage National Sales Budget**:
- Prepare and manage the operational and capital budgets
- Approve budgetary expenditures within authorisation limits or delegations
- Review and report on financial performance
- Ensure the reduction of costs of all resources
