The Junior Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete manufacturing and packaging function.

The Junior Production Manager ensures all packaging lines and processes are used optimally according to the production plan and ensuring adequate raw material available as per production demand.

PRODUCTION OUTPUTS

1. Cost Management:

- Management of variances/waste on production lines.
- Cost effective personnel scheduling.
- Ensure Production lines produce OTIF (Adherence Target = 98%).
- Ensure adequate raw material availability according demand plan.

2. Production Efficiencies
- Ensure continuous improvement on production lines (Target OEE 70%).
- Ensure limited downtime on production lines.
- Continuous improvement in change over times.
- Effective scheduling of production lines.
- Maintaining and analyzing of production reports.

3. Quality & EHS
- Ensure department comply fully with governance/audit/risk standards.
- Monitor product quality during production process (Target = no NC stock)
- Ensures that production remain in compliance with all OHSA regulations.
- Maintain accurate traceability throughout the production process.
- Ensure compliance to all food safety regulations, allergen control, housekeeping, and pest

control.

4. Personnel Management
- Motivate, develop, and coach employees.
- General HR function to employees (approval of leave, time & attendance etc.)
- Effective handling of discipline/performance of personnel on production floor.
- Conduct regular one-on-one sessions with employees.

KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in Packaging & bottling processes.
- At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of and minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in bottling/labelling & packaging

processes.
- Basic financial understanding.
- Excellent understanding of Lean manufacturing.
- Experience of people management and performance management systems.

SKILLS
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (English & Afrikaans).
- Analyse and interpret financial information.
- Good planning & organising/coordination skills.
- Production process fault finding skills.
