Plans, coordinates and directs all activities within the Factory. Analyze and calculate data to determine, develop, or recommend improvements in the day-to-day operation of the Factory. Schedule, train, and develop subordinate personnel. Responsible for the successful, cost-efficient operation of the factory. Manage factory staff and shifts. Focused approach to factory cleanliness and safety matters
**Scope**

**Job brief**
We are looking to hire an experienced factory manager to supervise factory workers and ensure that factory targets are met. The factory manager's responsibilities include scheduling building and equipment maintenance as needed, regularly walking the factory floor to monitor the performance of factory staff and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner. You should also be able to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Ensure that the factory environment is clean and that all staff focus on cleanliness.
To be successful as a factory manager, you should demonstrate outstanding problem-solving skills and resolve any issues that may derail production. Ultimately, a top-performing factory manager should have exceptional communication, management, and leadership skills to ensure that factory operations run smoothly.

**Responsibilities**
- Achieving profitability by providing clear daily production goals and support to make sure every Shift Supervisor is safely meeting production, quality and efficiency goals daily.
- Prepare Performance Plans for each direct report that clearly articulates expectations for production outcomes, safety performance, and work center hygiene that will result in the company achieving its monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
- Meet weekly with regularly with Operations Manager to develop Production Plan by reviewing Capacity Plan and raw material shortages.
- Evaluate on time delivery of raw material with Buyer and develop action items to address deficiencies.
- Meet Daily with Shift Supervisors to discuss and review production performance improvement. (Metrics)
- Collaborate with the MD and Operations Manager to refine production metrics to accurately and meaningfully reflect work center activities and performance to enable adjustments to activities to improve performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Machine Maintenance team to develop maintenance schedules that assure 98% uptime on all machines throughout the facility and avoid compromising production.
- Develop and maintain a Facilities Budget.
- Advise executives on latest equipment technology to place the organization in a situation for long term growth.
- Develop visual controls for the production floor, including a scorecards for each department, Production Supervisors standard work, and hourly goal charts at all work-centers.
- Ensure that the resources i.e. machinery, tools, workers, etc. are efficiently deployed and closely monitor them to ensure timely completion of given tasks
- Review overall progress with the supervisors and maintenance teams on a daily basis
- Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
- Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers.
- Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.
- Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
- Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
- Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers.
- Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
- Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets.
- Enforce health and safety protocols during all stages of production.
- Analyze workplace productivity.
- Resolve any concerns voiced by employees.
- Coordinate activities in the production department to ensure profit plan commitments are achieved.
