**Senior Specialist - Community Programmes**

**Mission**
To provide strategic input, design, manage and drive the implementation of the various projects within the community programme identified to fulfil on the MTN SA Foundation’s strategic intent for shared value to be realised by both MTN and the communities served. The execution of the Corporate Social Investment (CSI) mandate of MTN Group and MTN SA dictates an investment that seeks to uplift communities for self-reliance.
To further provide and utilise updated information on trends and best practises in the CSI sector in implementing community programmes that include social upliftment, health, entrepreneurship and skills development, in partnership with key stakeholders.

**Key Performance Areas**

**Strategic Input**:

- Drive the development, design, implement and monitor CSI strategies related to community programmes;
- Ensure alignment and strengthen the community strategy with MTN’s business strategies.
- Assist develop innovative and impactful programme strategies, based on research, experience and knowledge of the community sector
- Support the development of the Foundation’s long-term strategy
- Assist in driving the development and implementation of the business plan for the Portfolio.
- Identification, screening and assessment of funding requests aligned to the Portfolio as per Foundation’s policy and strategy
- Support the SM to lead in the management of the strategic implementation, integration and co-ordination of resources, across the portfolio and projects to ensure delivery of eHealth Programmes, entrepreneurship/enterprise development initiatives in selected priority areas
- Liaise with procurement on supplier development initiatives, SMME opportunities within the business and identification of partnerships, leveraging or shared value between the Foundation and procurement
- Collection and submission of data for BEE Scoring on Health and Enterprise Development/ Socio-Economic Development
- Ensure support for delivery of the projects as per business plan
- Assist maintaining partnerships and network systems to leverage MTN resources with government, NGO, Internal Business Units and other corporates
- Participate in stakeholder engagement and relationship building
- Update and consolidate stakeholder list for the Portfolio.
- Continuous liaison with relevant stakeholders on programmes, projects and partnerships
- Support the provision of the infrastructure delivery of the multi-media centres in identified Nurse Training Institutions
- Actively engage in the drive of the maintaining partnerships and network systems to leverage MTN resources with government, NGO, Internal Business Units and other corporates
- Contribute towards the compilation of the Portfolios reports such as MTN Group Reputation Report, Board Reports and Annual reports
- Management of risks associated with programmes deliverables, including legal briefs and contract management.
- Maintain an updated and consolidated stakeholder list for the Portfolio.
- Facilitation of reporting, monitoring and evaluation on programme deliverables
- Assist SM with the reviewing of the budgets variances of spend vs budget allocation, reallocation of funds to ensure the appropriate and optimal utilization on the overall budget
- Ensure that risk management is an integral part of the portfolio activities and disbursement policies
- Assist with internal communication campaigns and work closely with internal Comms department and relevant stakeholders
- Participate in activities and processes that maximize PR opportunities and across Portfolios
- Liaise with the Foundation Comms and PR Specialist on all portfolio activities which require PR Support
- Manage portfolio’s activities during the absence of SM managers and upon delegation
- Contribute towards the compilation of the Portfolios reports such as MTN Group Reputation Report, Board Reports and Annual reports
- Ensure and monitor compliance with MTN and MTN SA Foundation’s policies and procedures

**Project Delivery**
- Develop and drive the execution of agreed projects
- Drive the implementation, tracking, monitoring and compliance of Projects
- Contract management in line with Procurement Policies
- Co-ordinate project reporting
- Ensure effective implementation of the integrated project management model
- Assist in ensuring adherence to the allocated Opex budget

**Business Analysis**
- Establish and enhance business analysis methodology and guidelines
- Identify ways to fine tune policies, processes and systems in line with changing work practices
- Determine, document, and review requirements for projects within the scope of the value stream or impacting processes and systems
- Design, analyse and document workflow and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness
- Identify Business Improvement and Optimisation opportunities that will result in improvement of process performance
