F and G Sourcing Specialist is assisting a reputable Software Company that is seeking a skilled Senior Account Executive to join their company that is based in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for achieving sales and/or profitability objectives, typically from new clients or accounts. As a Senior Account Executive, you would identify marketplace opportunities, prospect, and engage new clients, develop proposals, and manage the contract process.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree in business, administration/management, communications, sales or a related field.
- Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in a business development sales environment and/or similar role.
- IBM, Oracle, TIBCO experience highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding sales quota.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Superior business and negotiation skills
- Extensive industry contacts
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Excellent people skills to interact with customers, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
- Works efficiently under pressure and meets deadlines and targets

**Responsibilities**:

- Achieving assigned sales targets
- Prospecting and developing new client relationships within a defined geography or market
- Consulting with clients on business issues and research design
- Developing innovative proposals and delivering strategic sales presentations
- Making actionable and insightful recommendations for new products, extensions, or enhancements
- Resolving sales or delivery issues
- Defines the account strategy in an account plan and leads the execution.
- Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies and marketing messages.
- Building business relationships with current and potential clients, partners, consultants, business bodies etc.
- Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (rfps).
- Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short
- and long-term business development plans.
- Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining a database of prospective client information.

**Salary**: R1mil - R1,2mil p/a

**Education**:

- Bachelors (required)

**Experience**:

- business development sales: 7 years (required)
- IBM, Oracle, TIBCO: 3 years (required)
