Cold Room Inventory Controller

**Principal Accountabilities** - Follow correct put-away strategies to ensure stock is stored in correct cold room and bin location. - Monitor stock levels and ensure that inventory is accurately tracked. - Record incoming and outgoing stock to prevent overstocking or shortages. - Keep track of inventory sent to remelt, rejected off production, rejected due to quality decision, returns from customer etc. - Use inventory software or manual systems to keep real-time records of stock. - Regularly check and document temperatures in the cold room to ensure compliance with storage requirements. - Report any temperature fluctuations or equipment malfunctions to prevent spoilage or damage to products. - Rotate stock according to the "first in, first out" (FIFO) method to ensure older products are used or sold first. - Liaise with Dispatch teams to ensure correct picking of stock from bin location and batches. - Inspect goods for expiration dates, damage, or contamination and take appropriate action. - Maintain records of stock levels, temperature logs, and any incidents such as spoilage or contamination. - Ensure that the cold room complies with health and safety regulations, such as sanitation and safety protocols. **Desired Qualifications** - Matric is required - 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse or cold room environment Work Location: In person
