Working on-site in Johannesburg in partnership with a pharmaceutical client, the Community Manager will write, develop, publish and monitor social content, helping to execute campaigns and social calendars, creating planned, as well as reactive/proactive content. Create engaging, bold and exciting ways to keep the community engaged and relevant in South Africa.

We are looking for someone who lives and breathes content and has a finger on the pulse of the latest and emerging trends and which brands are leading the way in the markets. You will be ambitious and engaged with brands and consumers; interested in what makes them tick. You love generating speedy ideas in an agile way and collaborate with your team.

**ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING**

The Community Manager will report into the Social Media Manager, and you will be part of a small core team alongside Community Managers and Integrated Designers. This is a client facing role, working closely with the brand and marketing teams and the client's agency partners.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE**
- Responsible for fostering and building a social community through Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Tiktok and engage with consumers and audiences.
- Working closely with the Brand Managers, Social Media Manager and Content Strategist, the role represents the voice of the consumer, monitoring conversations, developing and posting content to grow the community, reporting on engagement and managing the daily operations of various social challenges.
- Produce original local copy / messaging for all outputs, including social
- Brainstorm visual and copy ideas with other members of the team.
- Identify and track relevant community data metrics.
- To manage and review the work of creators/ designers to ensure consistent processes are followed.
- You will have a creative copywriting skillset and portfolio of handles, your experience enables you to input into creative process, ideas and delivery of social assets.
- Creating powerful and impactful copy for straplines and posts as well as occasional digital formats for all kinds of digital content, including digital banners, short-form web pages, social media, video/ animation and advertising.
- Support the team with other markets, where social / digital copy requirements are required.
- Liaise with client customer service and media team on support issues and approvals.
- Form close relationships with the product team in order to understand product information and unique selling points of products/ services.
- Follow and help build a digital tone of voice consistent to the client throughout all copy, posts and proactively make recommendations for the direction of campaigns, supporting the Social Media Manager.
- Work closely with the team to deliver consistency and accuracy across all messaging to the agreed briefs and established brand values.
- Work across 5-7 brands in the South Africa Region. Lend support to other MEA and EMEA market needs if required.
