- Main Purpose of the Job:
- To work closely with Internal and External Customers in order to execute on instructions received for all custom clearances (Imports and Exports). Providing the necessary administrative, hands-on general and reporting support, to enable efficient and effective overall process conclusion.- Key Responsibilities:
- Act on all enquiries received from the Customers- Register, prepare and submit the necessary documents for customs clearance as per the instructions received electronically to SARS.- Follow-up on all admistrative and technical customs queries as they arise and assist the Customers to achieve resolution.- Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the correct Hs Codes are applied- All compliance issues with Customs are adhered to.- Maintain a filling system ensuring all the required documentation is filed and up to date- Perform any other tasks related to the overall objective of the position- Able to assist in other areas of operations as directed by management.- Escalate and address any points which results in non compliance- Health, Safety & QMS:
- Ensure QMS requirements are integrated into the departments business processes.- Implement continuous Improvement of business processes.- Ensure that all Health and Safety protocols, including those for Covid-19 are implemented and followed.- General / Admin:
- Provide quick and responsive service.- Resolve received queries within KPI.- Update the forwarding teams of changes at customs-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Qualification, Skills and Attributes:
- 1-3 years working experience in a relative role.- Working knowledge of SAP- Excellent communication skills (internal and external customers)- Excellent planning, organising and controlling skills- Excellent time management, operationally driven and results focused**What Qualification**
