**Job Purpose**:
This role will lead the digital marketing, e-commerce, online travel agents and partners. It is responsible for all digital marketing strategies, platforms and operations. The central goal is to help growth the brand’s influence on the e-commerce platforms by promoting services, increasing traffic and conversions. This roles also evaluates digital technologies to optimize digital marketing and advertising. OTA global management will also fall within this role.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Drive the digital transformation process, helping the organization adapt to technological advancements and changes in the digital landscape
- Manage and enhance the organization's online presence, which includes the website, mobile apps, social media channels and direct channels
- Optimizing user interfaces, enhancing e-commerce experiences, and personalizing interactions with customers
- Identify opportunities for innovation and assess their relevance to the organization
- Bridging the gap between technical and business-oriented teams to ensure the digital strategy aligns with the broader business objectives
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of the organization’s website and execution of day-to-day functions and updates
- Work to initiate effective marketing campaigns online, to align with the business goals and translate them into measurable and successful marketing campaigns
- Conduct and participate in surveys and research exercises, as a part of evaluating the needs of consumer engagement online to improve our understanding of our customer profile, thereby enhancing our knowledge about consumer trends and demands. A key objective will be to achieve increased efficiency in user experience on the website
- Provide oversight for the development and maintenance of the website with a specific focus on content marketing, search engine optimization, UX, and UI design
- Develop, execute and test new digital platform features and and enhancements
- Work closely with SEO and SEM teams
- Monitor customer database list growth, quality, and currency
- Manage and facilitate all hi-res image requests
- Maintain a consistent voice across all digital brand content
- Improve overall communication with all members of the marketing team to achieve increased coverage and visibility
- Assist the marketing team in the execution of marketing programs and special projects as requested

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing or relevant field at NQF level 7 with 3-5 years’ experience in Digital Commercial Performance Management, Display and Online Marketing and Global Online Marketing OR 5 -7 years’ experience in Digital Commercial Performance Management, Display and Online Marketing and Global Online Marketing
- Experience working with PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery Ability to write JavaScript with and without the use of frameworks such as jQuery
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Working knowledge and experience working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector
- Ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experiences across multiple digital channels
- Ability to understand CSS changes to have a consistent style across platforms and browsers. Ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge in front-end development and theming
- Strong programming knowledge in skills (PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge in user experience and user interface principles, ethical best practices
- Strong understanding of brand aesthetics, UX and UI design
