As a member of the Learning and Development team, the successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the operational requirements of the department and assisting with all learning and development related activities for practitioner departments and services teams across all our locationsnot limited to, the following key duties and responsibilities:
**Key responsibilities and duties**:
Strategy implementation

Responsible for the implementation of the learning and development strategy across the firm

Plan, develop, implement, and monitor all aspects of training programmes across the firm

Planning and co-ordinating the internal training with the various stakeholders and clients

Develop learning solutions to meet all the non-technical training for the firm which includes the design

and delivery of agreed learning solutions

Collaborate with clients to develop practice and team specific learning and develop interventions

Communicate all available training and provide the necessary training information ahead of the

session

Organise, support and contribute to HR projects as required

Learning systems

Identify and recommend the best practice technology enabled learning systems and tools

Provide inputs into the learning portal and all other learning systems and tools

Monitor and track uptake and usage of learning systems and make changes and recommendations

as required

Analyse the ROI calculations and report back to the Head of Learning and Development

Ongoing review of learning systems efficacy and suitability

Maintain and updatetraining recordings and content on the firm’s Learner Management System (LMS)

Stakeholder management

Collaborate with clients to analyse needs and develop specific training plans to meet those needs

Build and maintain strong relationships with all Heads of Department (HOD), Executives and Office Heads (OH) to ensure that their learning needs are met and integrated into the overall ENSafricalearning strategy

Collaborate with Senior HR Business Partners across the firm to support the development needs identified in the Performance Evaluation Discussions (PEDs)

Manage vendor selection process and onboarding of new vendors including the SLA management

Design and development

Develop and review course materials and learning content which is bespoke to theclient’sneeds

Recommend improvements to content and/or presentation methods

Continuous review of all training materials to ensure that the content is up-to-date and relevant

Design and develop e-learning programmes using client feedback, SMEs and vendor inputs

Monitor and evaluate training programme effectiveness and make appropriate changes as needed

Financial management

Provide input into the Learning Budget and expenditure for review periods

Manage and report on the relevant portion of the budget relating to programmes that fall under the

portfolio

Ongoing management of vendors including the procurement and invoicing process

General administration and reporting

Manage and oversee virtual and in-person training events for specified ENSafrica locations

Perform ad-hoc and miscellaneous training-related duties as required from time to time

Implement and maintain reporting mechanisms that contain meaningful data to aid in providing insightsinto the business

Ensure that deadlines are met with regard to specified learning and HR reports

Take accountability for the achievement of operational and strategic objectives within their focus area

Maintain personal quality of work and productivity standards

Respond openly and positively to constructive feedback received

Evaluation and analysis of learning solutions to assess ROI and make necessary recommendationsand changes, where applicable

Oversee the maintenance of training records, attendance

Relevant Bachelor’s degree qualification in Human Resources or Learning and Developmentis preferred

Previous experience in a law firm or professional services firm will be a distinct advantage

At least eight years relevant work experience as a Training Specialist, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role

Solid experience in project management with an ability to execute tasks, responsibilities and projects effectively within the desired timeframes

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, including editing and proofreading

Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Demonstrated experience in instructional design and adult learning principles

Coordinating multiple training events in a professional services environment

Extensive knowledge of the implementation of training plans

Sound knowledge and experience working with various e-learning/learner management systems

Solid understanding of skills development legislation such as the Workplace Skills Plan and BBBEE

reporting
