Purpose of Role:_ _Responsible for field services operations, developing, servicing and supporting customers throughout the Weir product range, building and leading a service team, growing service revenue within the Middelburg area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Adhere to all Safety Health Environment (SHE) and housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites at all times. Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times.- Manage all equipment installation, commissioning, problem solving and service-related functions on customer sites within the region, maintaining a high level on service and repair works.- Accumulate spares consumption and pump performance history, offering new and value-added solutions to customer, in compiling a field service report to be submitted to customer and service Manager.- Ensure relevant checklists and operational documents such as NCR’s, Inspection sheets, Lubrication sheets are filled in and filed. Manage and ensure compliance with regards to field service’s vehicles.- Ensure Compliance training is conducted. Develop, lead and train a field service team. Manage and schedule standby for the field service team.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or N3 certificate- Qualified: Fitter / Fitter & Turner / Millwright (verified Section 13 / 26D qualification)- Valid Driver’s licence- 5 years’ related experience in an engineering / manufacturing / mining environment (minerals processing plants advantageous)- 2 years’ supervisory or management experience advantageous- Knowledge of Mine, Health & Safety Act- General product knowledge- Technical report writing experience- Computer literacy- Customer Oriented and ability to work under pressure
