The Freight Services Adviser is a broad multifunctional business operations role with specialist knowledge in air freight ground handling and commercial operations. The role is responsible for the day to day performance management of our Ground Handling Operations, ULD fleet and business support suppliers. The post holder will support the business with specialist operational counsel with regards to the planning of freight loads with particular emphasis on loads requiring special handling. They will be able to support their areas of responsibility with strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret trends and conduct root cause analysis. The post holder will also hold accountability for the correct and timely billing of customers and certification of invoices.

You’ll have:
- 5+ years of Air Freight industry knowledge gained via airline, freight forwarder or warehouse environment- Strong working knowledge of applicable IATA regulations specifically including ULDs, Dangerous Goods and Live Animals- Working knowledge of contemporary freight booking systems (Icargo, CargoSpot, Champ)- Demonstratable experience in the use of quality management methodologies- Ground handling or warehouse audit experience would be highly regarded- Current Dangerous Goods certificate would be highly regarded- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and disciplined while completing tasks with a high degree of accuracy- Ability and desire to build constructive working partnerships with all levels of customer, supplier and internal organisation- Ability to operate as part of a small team working towards a common goal- Confidence to make decisions within set parameters and seek assistance/escalate as required- Willingness to undertake limited domestic and international travel as required- Strong written and spoken English- Rights to live and work in South Africa
