Logistics Coordinator

Currently we are searching for a Logistics Coordinator for Durban, South Africa.
**Responsibilities of this Post**:
Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met and all relevant paperwork completed correctly and processed accordingly.
Schedule drivers’ daily deliveries / collections, coordinating routes, liaising with drivers on the road, monitor and track drivers via tracking system.
Effectively coordinating deliveries.
Ensuring that all driver files are up to date and valid (incl. license validation, PDP, Forklift etc.).
Ensuring all vehicle licences are renewed prior to expiry.
Ensuring tyres are roadworthy, getting quotes for replacements etc.
Ensuring vehicle services are booked in advance to ensure availability of a vehicle when required.
Attend to and assist with possible breakdowns of vehicles on the road.
Managing the company process following accidents and incidents including the completion of relevant systems.
Keeping track of fuel expenses vs consumption to ensure cost effectiveness.
Staff management and coordination in the warehouse area.
Ensure enough staff are available when large deliveries are received.
**Requirements of this Post**:
Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain or relevant field.
Previous experience as a Logistics Coordinator.
Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
Good organization and time management skills.
