Logistics Coordinator
Job Summary
Your role as a logistics controller is to organise the distribution of goods. You will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost.
Responsibilities and Duties.
- Coordinate Deliveries
- Fill in waybills and track orders, assisting with proof of POD.
- Coordinate deliveries with sales team members and other departments.
- Obtaining rates and costings negotiating prices with the suppliers and carries to endure profitability and service levels.
- Manage and oversee exports and imports goods into the country.
- Responding to shipping/deliveries — complaints, damages, incorrect deliveries and insurance claims
- Completing return slips and sending to relevant employees.
- Management of paperwork such a certificate of origin, across boarder documents, SAD500 and organising inspections when required.
- Answering the phone in a polite and correct manor and relaying messages correctly.
- Full responsibility when your buddy is sick or on leave — proper handover must be done with password and everything you are working with/on.
- Well presented at all times.
- Responsibilities and duties are not limited to the above.
- Training/upskilling of new employees and current staff when a new item/range becomes available.
- Housekeeping — your workstation to be neat and tidy at all times.
- Adhere to the company code of conduct and rules.
Qualifications/SkilIs
- Matric
- Microsoft Suite -Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft PowerPoint; Microsoft Outlook
- SYNC - The Complete ERP & PLM software solution for the Apparel Industry
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Customer service
- Organization skills and a positive attitude.
