Are you passionate about property development and retail expansion? We’re looking for a Properties Project Manager to join our Operations Team at our Support Centre in Kuilsriver

In this role, you will play a key part in executing our Property Plan, ensuring seamless store openings, revamps, closures, and aesthetic upgrades that enhance the customer experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, oversee budgeting, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Support Property Strategy**:

- Coordinate store openings, renovations, and closures in alignment with company objectives.

**Project Preparation & Planning**:

- Partner with internal teams & Pepkor Properties to gather project details (store design, timelines, memos, etc.).
- Conduct site surveys for existing and new locations.
- Maintain communication with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout the project.

**Project Execution & Risk Management**:

- Oversee on-site evaluations to ensure project milestones are met.
- Drive project delivery, ensuring quality standards and addressing any red flags.
- Liaise with landlords & property teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and risk management protocols.

**Cost & Budget Management**:

- Ensure projects align with pre-approved budgets (Capex & Opex).
- Monitor on-site wastage and efficiency opportunities.
- Approve Variations of Contract (VOCs) up to R50,000 and escalate larger amounts for approval.

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Knowledge & Expertise**:

- Retail property development and project methodologies.
- Store layouts and design principles.
- Budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis.
- Working knowledge of OHASA, risk management, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong communication & negotiation abilities.
- Project management & multi-tasking.
- Conflict resolution & problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility, agility, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Project Management certification or equivalent qualification in building/construction.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in retail property development or construction project management.
- Valid driver’s license & willingness to travel extensively.

**Advantageous**:

- Proven track record in retail store projects or the building industry.
