**Background**:
For a special ESG assurance project for our financial clients, the IHS Markit’s ESG and Governance Advisory team is seeking several ESG data & research analysts, supporting our clients to achieve their ESG assurance goals. The open position at this stage is opened on temporary contract basis of 3-4 months. Upon project completion, the analysts might have a chance to convert into a permanent role later in the year.

**Project Background**:
The core work of the project involved assurance and verification of Energy, GHG, water and waste data from the buildings and real assets for reporting to GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmarks) which is the leading real estate ESG investor benchmark forum. Our clients are some of the largest institutional investors globally, whom our team is helping with ESG data verification and assurance.

- Understanding of energy, water and waste data sets from buildings
- Highly articulate, good mathematical skills and numerate
- A passion for furthering the sustainability agenda
- Able to manage multitasking, time-keeping and keep up to timelines
- Strong people skills
- Advanced IT skills
- Good English language skills
**Desired skills**
Understanding of sustainability and GHG data, assurance and verification processes
- Understanding of GRESB reporting
English language, preferably also a second language
- Previous experience with data and assurance to support GRESB and applicable assurance standards a plus
**Project Timing & Scope**

Project timing will be between **April and July**, in which you will exclusively focus on ESG data research tasks, in close cooperation with the project lead and the global ESG advisory team.IHS Markit maintains a substance-free workplace; employees may be asked to submit to a drug test (where permitted by law).
